Amy Edwards, PT
Amy is a physical therapist who graduated in 1996 from Bowling Green State University in consortium with the Medical College of Ohio with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She founded Specialized Therapy Services in 2007 upon the principle that each patient deserves 1-on-1 attention. Amy has a large variety of experience working with patients of all ages in multiple settings. She has developed a wide variety of clinical skills with a special interest in Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and Women's Health and Men's Health conditions including bowel & bladder control, incontinence, pelvic pain, pregnancy & post-partum care, prostatectomy care, and ostoeporosis. Amy is also a certified trainer through Cincinnati Sports Medicine Research and Education Foundation in Sportsmetrics, an ACL prevention program. Amy furthermore has training in Graston technique, Postural Restoration, visceral manipulation, and she is certified in both Deep Dry Needling and Integrative Dry Needling. In her free time, Amy loves being with her husband and children.
Courtney Rieman, PT, DPT
Courtney graduated from The Ohio State University in 2015 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Prior to this, she completed her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training at Capital University. She has had experience treating patients in an outpatient orthopedic setting with special interest in orthopedic rehabilitation, post-operative diagnoses, and return to sport rehabilitation. For the treatment of patients and athletes looking to return to sport or enhance performance, Courtney is a certified Sportsmetrics Specialist. This is a scientifically-proven injury prevention and performance training program targeted for ACL rehabilitation and prevention. Courtney is additionally certified in performing Integrative Dry Needling and the Graston technique, and has additional training in treating patients with vestibular diagnoses. Courtney and her husband enjoy travelling, attending sporting events, and spending time with their son.
Megan Ellerbrock, PT, DPT
Megan graduated from The University of Findlay in 2013 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Megan joined the Specialized Therapy Services team in 2017 after working in a hospital based rehab setting treating both hospital patients and outpatients with orthopedic and neurological conditions. She has experience with adaptive equipment prescription, post-operative rehab, and management of chronic pain and headaches. Megan has a special interest in myofascial release and has completed the John Barnes Myofascial Release I coursework. Megan is certified to perform Integrative Dry Needling and is a Certified Sportsmetrics Specialist for ACL prevention and rehab. Megan most recently became certified to perform the Graston Technique (IASTYM) of soft tissue mobilization and attended a Women’s Health seminar in the treatment of female urinary incontinence.
Kristen Spallinger, LPTA
Kristen is a physical therapist assistant who graduated in 2003 from Rhodes State College with an Associate's degree in Applied Science. Over the past 10 years, she has had experience with a variety of patients with different diagnosis in an outpatient setting. With always having an interest in health and exercise, Kristen is able to help those in need through physical therapy. In her free time, Kristen enjoys scrapbooking, boating and spending time with her husband and 3 boys. She has worked for Specialized therapy since August 2013.
Alexis Wurth, PTA
Alexis is a Physical Therapist Assistant who graduated from Rhodes State College in 2016 and has been with Specialized Therapy Services since then. She enjoys working with patients and getting to know them. She chose to be a PTA because there are always new skills and techniques to learn that can be included in treatment ideas. In her spare time she enjoys being a coach for girls soccer, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Sabrina obtained her Associate's degree from Lima Technical College and has worked as a secretary for Specialized Therapy Services since April of 2010. Sabrina likes to spend time with her family. She is the proud parent of 2 children and is excited to now have the title of grandparent as she enjoys spending time with her grandson. On the weekends, she loves to watch her son race sprint cars.
Cheryl Dotson, PT aide
Cheryl started working for Specialized Therapy Services as a PT Aide in 2015. Cheryl's main enjoyment in life is her family. She also loves being outdoors. In her spare time she loves to travel and check off all the items on her "bucket list".
Erica Edwards, PT aide
Erica is studying to be a physical therapist at the University of Findlay. Currently, at Specialized Therapy Services Erica enters data on patient accounts, consults insurance companies, assists with secretarial work, and cleans around the clinic. In her spare time Erica enjoys hanging out with her family and freinds.
